Ok, this is probably already answered on here, but this is what Im looking for.
1. Anywhere in the world preferably in the Carribean or Phillipines.
2. Nice local people.
3. Great surf for beginners(safe) then veterans.
4. Cheap to live there.
5. Surfers Hangouts
6. Not very many sharks or shark attacks.
7. Clear blue water
-Anything close would also be appreciated.

I just saw "Thicker than Water" and I am about to buy September Sessions. And because of that, I am about to give up my life after college and learn to become a pro surfer...I want place like listed above, if it even exists, or something close.

Id also like any advice you can give me, such as boards and ideas, please.

Thanks in advance
I got the urge to surf.

if you don't surf allrerady and even if you do you'd be much better off staying in school and if you still want to do it after you graduate...

Ok whatever, but it's kinda a weird to say something like I'm giong to be a pro supercross rider even though I've never done it before, not saying it's not possible, just kinda funky, but yea if you can afford it sure, I was just assuming you were like another typical college student with no money, but yea if you got the money, the dedecation, natural talent and the time it's possible. There's lots of spots in central americia you could look for, south americia, australia (good luck getting into another counry though, especally australia), uh, all the nesias, maldives, all those islandy places between asia and oz. You gotta look for places but those are just some general areas to try, try to look into places mentioned in those two movies, and just yea, get some surf mags and find smoe spots they talk about and try to find somewhere to live there. Good luck with it, maybe even try to surf somewhere first to see if you even like it, it's alot different when youtry it, maybe you'd like to be a photographer or some thing and you just don't know it yet. Good luck with it, it's not going to be easy, and I'll look outo for the colledge dropout in the asp rankings.

You do know how the system works right?

well most perople are paranoid and then getting into other countries like austraulia are hard because they try to keep their population low only really take in drs and lawyers and then sometimes other places just have their own reasons.

So you know all about how the WQS system works and what you need to do there to get into the CT right?

and about the point system and the one to six star levels?

Common sense says big, blown-out, gnarly mush to me, but what do I know? I'm not going to be a pro-surfer

the wqs works by six different levels of competition, the first is one star that anyone can get into, and the last is the six star wich if you have enough points to get into the top 16 depending on where you stand you might be in the CT the next year. each level you go to different contests to get points, and the points add up and rank everyone in their level, and when you get enough points you get to the bottom of the level above that. The contests are all over the place so you need money to be able to fly to them all, and you need to be able to do good in them too so you get some money back. Sponsors also help with that stuff, and where your main scource of income would be by being a pro surfer (advertisements, promotions, pictures).

do i make sense?
