Two people who are in corpus if you want to come down there... Gulfsurfer and I... I won't be there until atleast agust though, he's into logs, and I ride more high volume but don't get what looks cool, get a funboard atleast... PM him or me about it.

Wow, Surfside? I live on DemiJohn island, of course I surf at Surfside. 8D I'm a beginner, as well, or I'd help you. Hm, looking at the date, I guess you've gotten your board by now? If you ever see a chick wiping out on a pink board, you know who you're seeing. xP

Hm, it signed me out before I posted that.
Anyways, do you have MSN or anything? I've been looking for a surf buddy for awhile.. I find surfing solo pretty boring. And my mom refuses to get her lazy self off the beach chair. XP Most of my friends are afraid/not allowed to surf, but I guess it depends on your age.. I'm only 14, but eh. Adieu~

I'm still looking for epoxy for my bonzer, but most likley after that if I can afford it I might be making something around 6'1-2x18 3/4 dimond tail with a concave deck, or a log if I can get a clark blank (my stringer wood only comes in eight foot lengths...) I duno maybe we should have a surfing waves texan surfer beach party, like drive down the beach at sp state beach and find a nice sandbar to surf all day...
no crowds
building up my quiver... up to I think four boards now but only two have glass and one is a wakesurfer so I guess only two really count. :D

Surfside gets packed. I dont ever go there cuz it gets so crowded.
What kind of board are you getting? You should look into getting Steve Pearson to shape you one (SPD) he's in houston. If you didnt want to wait for a custom, Ohana Surf and Skate in Galveston has a few of his boards for sale.

And here are some of mine. The log and shortboard are both SPDs, the fish is an Erie Peeples.

Looking at the dates, these posts are all a few months old, but if there's anyone looking for a surfing buddy in Galveston, let me know. I just took my first lesson a couple weeks ago and got a longboard. Problem is that none of my friends are interested and I don't want to surf alone for safety reasons if nothing else. Anyway, I live in League City and want to start out surfing on weekends, so let me know if you're looking for someone to surf with!
