Hey all,

I'm going to the seychelles in December (hopefully) but I was wondering where the good waves are in that season, I've looked some things up but it would be best to hear from a local! Also what kinda board you recon would be best for the waves over there?

Cheers!

hey there,
i'm a bit late i guess, but i live in the seychelles (just joined this site though).
Well it depends what you're looking for, there's mostly reef breaks and a few quite inconsistent beach breaks...general surfing season is april/may to october/november with some bigger but infrequent swells in between and if we're lucky some proper groundswell to fire up some exceptional overheads, while april and october are monsoon transition months with a fair amount of glass and clean waves if the swell holds up , . Unfortunately november to march is usally fairly flat and is the rainy season, but it depends what kind of breaks you're looking for?... I'd either bring a longboard or a fish i think. Let me know if you are still going, i'll tell you about some of the breaks and can even take you out if you want, Peace.
