Privates beach- Santa Cruz

Has anyone ever surfed Privates in Santa Cruz? I am looking for a good longboard wave, that's not too crowded. I would like to try this spot but I don't know anyone with a gate pass. Looking for a guest to join you? Anyone looking to sell their key? Keys don't go on sale again till June. Any opinions on this wave/crowds?

I've never been but the
Santa Cruz Sentinel reports that anyone can pay $5 for a one day access pass. The Coastal Commission may rule for free public access.

Privates in Santa Cruz is a cool longboard wave, but crowded and locked up. Need key to surf. To get guest access, check online. Be cool with the locals and the rules.
