Help me plan my So Cal surf trip

I'll have two days to surf on an upcoming trip to LA/San Diego and appreciate any guidance on how to maximize the surfing experience. I'm a novice who has surfed Santa Monica and Dana Point in the past. I'll be using a foam board.

I'll be arriving at LAX 10:30 am Wednesday 5/18/05 and have to be in San Diego that night, so I have the afternoon and evening to surf anywhere along the coast.

Then, on Saturday 5/21/05 I wake up in San Diego and have all morning and early afternoon to surf.
