Surfboard + clothes travel bag

Hello, so that's the question: I have a 5'7 CI Average Joe board. I wonder if there's some bag designed to carry the board + clothes in the same bag? Maybe 2 compartments?

Can a size like that pass as a regular checked luggage and not have to pay extra fees? Or I mean, perhaps just pay some extra kilos for the extra length or something?

I just want to travel easy and avoid getting raped by airlines, what do you suggest?

you can usually fit some clothes and so forth into your surf board bag. You can get a double bag if you want (ie a bag that will fit 2 surfboards); and take a small carry on backpack for the rest. Or get a 6ft bag and pack the last 5 inches with clothes. If you want to keep your clothes separate (and they make for some good extra padding) then get a suit bag (for a work suit), which is long and fairly thin, and stuff your clothes into that and then put that bag into the surf board cover. Or just stuff the clothes into a garbage bag

lots of options

Whether its cheaper to have just a surfboard bag and no other checked in luggage I dont know - depends on which airlines you are flying (eg if they give you 'free' check in luggage, probably you will be charged for the surfboard in addition anyway)

I just wanted to share my excitement about the surfboard clothes travel bag combo that has been a game-changer for my trips!
I recently invested in a high-quality surfboard travel bag that accommodates both my beloved surfboard and all the essentials I need for my adventures. It's been a total game-changer for me. No more stressing about carrying multiple bags or worrying about the safety of my surfboard during transit.
The convenience of having a dedicated space for my surfboard alongside ample room for my clothes and other gear has made packing and traveling a breeze. Plus, the durability of the bag ensures that my gear stays protected no matter where my wanderlust takes me.
Happy surfing and safe travels to all
