Indo in late April (maybe early May)

Hi all,

I´m new to this forum (and a bit new to surfing). With my friend we have been surfing for the last 3 years in Argentina and have visited Ecuador (Ayampe/Montañita) & Brasil (Rio) and we were planing a big trip to Indo, to give you an idea I surf on a #4 (5"11) and with my level I feel comfortable as long as waves are not over 6ft or so and dont close super fast (maybe a bit more if they are fat & friendly)

Think that the best time for us to ask holidays in our jobs would be in April and wanted to visit Indo but not sure which islands. You know if that would be a good season? any particular islands/spots we should visit on that period for our level?

Thanks, Andy!

Late April/ early May the swells and the wind patterns start to favour the Indo Surf season, you could tackle the basic Bali surf spots and the slightly smaller Indo crowd or head to Kuta Lombok and fan out with guides to the stretch of coast there, as Far East to Gerupuk.

Other Indo Islands are epic treks with flights or ferry, adventure, perhaps, but I recommend you buy Peter Neely's Indo Lingo and surf spots book when you get to Bali or even better before! Argentina shop? But it is available on line.
It is a great source book for any Indo traveler, and has conversational Bahasa Indonesian for bargaining and just hanging out.
