Surfing in Korea?

I don't know if there are a lot of good surf spots in asia... I know there's surfing in japan but thats about it.. My friend was telling me how he heard there was surfing in Korea and i think its bull.. Im going to korea this winter and was wondering if any of you know if there are any surfable beaches there.

Why are you going to Korea because I might have a spot for you around waist to chest in the winter south of seoul.

im going to korea cuz im korean/hawaiian and i have family there..... I actually have family in seoul, is there really good surf there? cuz i thot they were all rumors

Well Their was an article about surfing in korea done at the travel section on surfline.com. It says near the lower islands were they surfed some pretty decent days. It is pretty sheltered from waves so you have to have a storm or a really decent swell. If you like or have ever tried to snowboarding they got like 15 resorts right their in seoul area. I'm in the military and I'll be stationed over at Osan AB 30 miles south of seoul and I'm bringing my both of my boards snow & surf.
