Surf destination in Europe with nightlife!

Heya guys,

My friends and I have decided to go on a surf trip sometime in July, within Europe.
I have already done a bunch of research and found various "surf camps" in Portugal, Spain and France.

However, I am not sure if these are the right thing for us, as we do not only want to do surfing, but also have the opportunity to go out dancing, and do other stuff. So I'm looking for a destination where you can just go down on the beach and rent surfboards, instead of being dependent and staying at a surf camp. Like for example going surfing in Kuta, Bali, or Taghazout, Morocco. We're beginners but just need to practise, so we won't be doing surf lessons.

Thanks for any suggestions!
Cheers,
Kluulz

The towns in Portugal and Spain where there is surf and surf schools have night life. You can stay in the camps without the lessons and dance where you like!

why don't you look for a destination with loads of surfcamps (which usually means that there's quite some nightlife as well) and then book something close to the beach on airbnb or the like? :)

weird to me. Night life and surfing are like oil and water to me. They don't mix.

I was thinking the same thing.....things come alive around here about a half hour before dawn.....surfers are morning people....

San Sebastián in the Basque Country seems to me to be exactly what you're looking for.
