April/May: where (europe)?

Postby lorcar » Thu Mar 24, 2016 9:37 am

Hi guys

which destination might you recommend for a couple of weeks surftrip between April and May? Portugal (Peniche/Algarve/Ericeira)? France? Canary/Lanzarote? else?
40yo weekend surfer here, do not need huge waves, but fun waves. Would prefer not to wear boots/hood!
thanks in advance

France can be still quite cold in april/may. I would say Portugal and then choose between Peniche and Algarve depending on the weather and wave forecast. Canary islands - the wind is getting stronger and waves smaller in may..

Yes, I am almost set up on Portugal,
even though still undecided between Ericeira (something like this for example: http://www.magicquiver.com/flats.html) or more south

which wetsuit needed in May?

I am from Germany and I am a surfer and skater too.
In the North Sea u have the best chance to have the best waves in august... to skate in the summer (july/june). If u need some informations about the weather and general situation of skating and surfing in germany oder informations about longboards, u can go here http://dein-longboard.de/... go then to google translate (if u use google chrome as the browser) and click to translate in you langage. i think in this case it´s english^^
