Which, in your opinion, is the ultimate in big wave surfing

these might not all be huge waves, but they can get to big sizes

I've probably missed lots, but tell me what they are

can u add them once youve posted?

Has anybody here surfed any of these waves?

I can't believe how many people are saying Cortez over Mavericks. I mean Cortez rarely breaks well, so I hear. Mavericks, for me, is just below Pe'ahi.

Is that the shelf or w/e reef they went to in Step into liquid?? Those waves were massive, but super clean. It was hilarious how the boat captain got taken out !

G's, if that surfer is, let's say, 5'10", that wave would have to be about what? 100' or more? Incredible!

I'm also going with MAV. We Nor-Calers need to show love to the big monster from Half Moon... least it eat our women and children in our sleep.

Cortes Bank by far, when it was firing off in January 2001 the waves were so big that it was showing up on radar... Mike Parsons holds the record for biggest wave ridden, from that very session on cortes bank. He rode a wave that's face was 66 feet high.
