Hey guys,

Would like to get some help on chosing a place to go on my 7 days vacation in May. Basically I am a begginer/intermediate level surfer (surfed for 2 years, stoped for 1 year and a half and I am now coming back) and my girlfriend is a begginer. We just had this month 5 days in Sri Lanka where I could get some waves in weligama and mediha/matarra and she could learn in weligama and is now on the riding the green wave fase still with soft board.

So I was looking for a place that would offer us this kinda of opportunities again and without extreme crowd/localism. Since we are living in Dubai we are looking for somewhere in the South East Asia.
So far I have looked at this:
- Bali (don't know how is it about swell and crowds around this time) /I have seen Legian and bukit peninsula are good as well and less crowded but i have no knowledge about it.
- Thailand - Phuket , read that there is good waves around there and is a nice place that will allow us to see the phi phi islands and stuff like that.
- Philipines - I have no idea how is the surf there and where
- Maldives, although as far as I know would be fun for me but not for my girlfriend since the waves are not that begginer level and is quite pricy as well.

Note: looking for a spot with warm water to I can surf with shorts and vest only :)

Any othe suggestions would be much aprreciated! Thank you

sorry for the late reply, Cabo is good and soft at old man's. A little crowded but a super fun easy beginner-friendly wave. I hate the wave, too mushy and not a lot of fun, but for beginners it's great, plus girls in bikinis like it too :)
