Hi loonie, welcome to Surfing Waves,

There is some surfing information on Senegal on the main site at
https://surfing-waves.com/atlas/africa/senegal.html
but I don't have any personal experience. Let's hear from someone who has...

thanks...

Hi

i went to The Gambia a couple of years ago in November in the surf was about 4ft and clean, the local on the beach are a bit dodgy and will fleece you. There beaches are long arcing with white sand, palm trees and empty.

:) :) There are waves in Sengal for beginners. I used to spend a lot of time there. I saw many French newbies riding waves near their army barracks in Thiroye. Most of them would surf the beach at Malika sur Mer. Dakars is on the tip of a cape, the most western point of Africa. Different rides on either side if the cape.
