whats the big deal with advertising, all he was trying to do was show that guy a place to stay.

We'd all love free advertising. :D
What we need here is a recommendation from someone who has actually been - not who runs the place and is just posting to get business.
Let's hear from someone who has actually been, hotels are easy to find on the net.

lived there all last summer.

if you are going in the summer book a hotel before you go...in winter you can get a flight then find somewhere once you are there.

best place to stay if surfing is either el cotillo or correlejo. correlejo has more there, cotillo is very small but has a massive sandy beach with near constant swell. so depending what you want?!i lived in corralejo-it has loads of surf shops-blue planet is run by a guy called danny from rochdale-he is a really sound guy and gives advice, plus he is english which is a bonus if your spanish isnt up to scratch!

there are some hostels in correlejo-v. cheap. also lots of cheap hotels: i would do a google search for cheap hotels-it might be cheaper to book a hotel on net and get flight only.

depending on how adventurous/skilled you are you can either rent a car and find your own way round the north track-all the best spots are here (need a 4x4 really!), although they are all reef and sometimes not so forgiving! if not go to a surf school and book surf safari-homegrown are quite good-they also offer accomodation to make it easier
you will need to travel to waves-in summer correlejo's spots within walking distance rarely work and if they do they will be crowded with some arsey locals

if i was going on holiday id rent a 4x4 get a map and find the breaks myself-they are pretty easy to find. its more fun and you dont have to surf wi 15 other people who are all learning!

basically defo stay somewhere in the north of the island, the south is more windsurfing and kitesurfing!

enjoy- warm water, hot sun, naturists and the best night out at the OInk bar in correlejo!

I have lived in the canaries for 6 years so honest advice is there are a load of surf schools, hire, shops here in the North, The south in windsurf domain. :? All are competative prices, my advice though to get to the good spots easily get a 4x4. Travel between Cotillo - Corralejo one side will have a wave being that the winds are southerly, east or west. Yep North winds kill the surf here. We are a chilled out community who just want to enjoy life so visitors welcome just have some respect for the island. There are a few hostels, apartments on the internet all are legit, try islandborders.com or purevacations.com for surf hols.

OK I admit yes I was after business of course I was, however it could provide a good base for surfers of which the forum is aimed at a very good competitive rate compared to hotels and other villas there. No ones stayed there yet (Our 1st visitors today would you believe)as it's a brand new villa at introductory prices so no recomendations, however whoever does stay there at the prices advertised will be getting a real bargain as I expect the prices to double over the next year when the recommendations do start coming in. Fuerteventura is world renowned for its surfing hence the reason I joined the forum. If you would prefer your members not to be given the opportunity to take up the offer then remove the link.

OK I have a property in Fuerteventura. I am not interested in surfing as I've never tried it but would love a go, but presumably the members of your forum are. I was offering a service to them. I wouldn't call that spamming. If you're happy to let your members pay extortionate prices for second rate accomodation when they could have had good quality accomodation at a franction of the price then it is their loss unfortunately because of your narrow mind. You don't seem to have a problem with people selling surfing equipment or offering surfing instruction so what is the difference? You are obviously very narrow minded, have you thought that some members of the forum may actually have wanted a cheap holiday In fuerteventura. :x Suggest you have a look at your own site https://surfing-waves.com/atlas/europe/canary_islands/fuerteventura.html shame on you.

I am not going to argue with you. You post on this forum with the express purpose of making money - not to benefit surfers in any way but to boost your business. This is spamming. I have no problem with links etc to useful resources that people post - if I let everyone like you who registers and then spams the forum with their 'business' then the place would be a mess with no reliable information. If you were an active member of the forum then there would be no problem. I am sure you would not like me to go onto your site and post lots of come to surfing-waves.com comments on it. This will be my last comment on this. I will be removing your spam.

I want visitors to this site to have unbiased information. What's to say that your accommodation is not second rate - I am sure that your accommodation is probably on a par with all the other accommodation spammers who spam this site.

My definition of spamming is sending out multiple e-mails get it right. I have not denied it is advertising but I am also offering a service to your surfing friends but you're too much of a bigot to see that.I wouldn't mind you going on my forum offering useful information to my members you see I'm not narrow minded. You need to look at the original question posted it seems your members were looking for advise.

Great place, planty of cheap ass places to stay... we went for 2weeks on a budjet of 300 each and that included car rental for a week.

biggest cost is the flights at the moment but there are plans to build a 2nd airport for the cheap airlines hovever that also means even more devlopment so get there int he next 2 years or it'll be xxxxx.

Our New 2 bedroom villa was on offer for £200 per week for 4 people. A bargain price but your administrator didn't give you the option unfortunately.

I'm off to Fuerte' on Friday for week :D !
Ok, I haven't been there since 1989, and I'm not sure what the hire boards available are like. I could just take my own but its extra cost, luggage, and risk of breakage so if there are decent custom shortboards for hire then I don't need to bother taking mine.
What do you guys in the know reckon :? ?

Hiya...
I went out to Fuerte a couple of weeks ago... went to a surf shop right of the track to Machanicho in lajares... they sold boards in there and I had a little look int heir back room... i think (am not 100% sure) that they also rented shortboards... I might be wrong though...

I know I am a bit late with this post, BUT this can be interesting for anyone going out in the future !

Either way, you can´t miss that surf shop as you drive passed it on your way to Cotillo from Corralejo.
