México, Puerto Escondido

Who was? Reviews?

the best time to visit? Prices? Renting a house on the beach?
if I find there the waves, girls, good food, cheap wine, weed, peace and quiet ?
as before, I am looking for the spot for a few months. And officially looking for a place to live for a few years .

Best regards,
Jacob

Wie gehts Jacob,
I think that you are trying to match two opposites. Parties and girls and quiet times.
Believe me when big wave surfers get together in a resort town there are not many quiet times.

Puerto Escondido is a famous big wave beach break.
It manages to kill people every year .
The other end of the beach can be small enough for lessons so there is a place for beginners.

Mexico is not a place to risk playing with weed, it is such an easy way fro corrupt police to make easy money.
Factor all this in, and consider that resort towns are not cheap.
You also need to consider your specific visa requirements for a prolonged stay anywhere.
If you surf in say: Indonesia three month tourist visa with a day flight to Singapore near the end of each three month period and a booked flight out on each entry and you are sweet for each stay.
The other thought for you is most surf zones have a swell season and a lead in and out season either side to the peak, places to stay fluctuate in price accordingly.

It will certainly be an interesting journey for you both in experience and surfing enjoy and stay safe

Philippines, Indonesia, maybe some other South American countries, I don't know what Visa arrangements Austria has with any other country so you need to clarify that . Indonesia is easiest because it is a quick flight to Singapore or Malaysia . The outer islands have cheap home stays but you need to search carefully.
You could consider Sri Lanka as a possibility too.
Have you traveled to any third world country? Quite different from the order and cleanliness of Austria.

Jacob we need to know your weight and height so we can suggest a board for you.
Considerations to are do you want o travel from Austria with it or have it there . Your destination may cause you to have to buy before you go or if you are lucky you can buy a board there.
In the beginning length will be your friend read through the surfboard advice and get an idea of what we are talking about in size.
Airlines will be important too as some will cost you an arm and a leg to fly your board.
Some will not take long boards and some have ridiculous lengths as their limits.
Established surf areas often have boards for sale, but they may not be in the range you will need especially if you are looking at out of the way places.
keep asking we can get it figured for you! :D

I decided, I'm flying to Indonesia nd Australia for a few days.

Suggestion to consider since you are doing that.
Hire a board in Indonesia to get a taste of what you are undertaking and have an idea for buying a board in Australia.
There will be a wider range of good secondhand boards wherever you go to any main surf destination in Australia.
When you know where you will be in Australia, there will be a number of posters here who can advise where to buy.

The reason I asked about height and weight, is it helps determine the size of the board in thickness and width for flotation.
If you get a board that doesn't suit , it is increasing difficult to paddle and catch waves. I you can't catch waves easily you won't be able to surf well.

Read the surf board advice, you will see we ask for height and weight and advise people from going too short.
We want you to enjoy the surfing experience, snow skate and wake boarding just doesn't prepare you for much in surfing! Wrong board is just a way to frustrate yourself

I have surfed all over Indonesia since my first time in 1979. I rarely go to Bali to surf now but pass through in transit to the outer islands at either end of the Archipelago !
I also travel to Pacific Islands and Taiwan, I haven't surfed in the Philippines or Sri Lanka or the Maldives but I have friend who have been to them many times so I have my plans ready. :D
I'm sorry I missed the irony it was lost in your written English which by the way is better than my written Deutsch, I understand thoroughly as my Australian son now lives in Saltzkammergut and now writes his English with a mixture of Deutsch grammar ! sehr schrechliches
