going to costa rica - NEED ADVICE

Postby crappysurfer » Sat Feb 12, 2005 2:02 pm

Hey,

My fiancee and I are planning to honeymoon in Costa Rica and we would like to spend two weeks learning how to surf!! We're living in newfoundland right now and supposedly you can surf here so we'd like to learn.

We are going to costa rica during the first 2 weeks in May. Where should we go to learn to surf? We'll need to rent boards. We also need to stick in the budget category and we're experienced world wide travellers so no worries there.

Any advice for a couple of keen Canadian greeners??!

Thanks a ton,

Chad

Mail Pais is great!

Go to St. Theresa or to Mal Pais. Friendly people, good food, enough places to celebrate honeymoon and great conditions. It is a good spot to learn how to surf - even for girls! There are a lot of oppertunities to rent or to buy cheap boards.
For food check out funky monkeys and Jungle Juice!
