Go here and ask the question on this forum:

It's an Aussie surf forum, tread lightly though as there are a lot of young hot heads in there. Most are from Sydney but you should be able to get an answer.

I've surfed the sunshine coast up at Noosa heads and it's pretty crowded and the pointbreaks in the national park are full of longboarders so it's pretty shitty for a shortboarder. Sunshine beach is a good beach break had some fun there.

The sunshine coast is probably more seculded and so I'd guess that if you were going to go to Uni the Gold Coast would be the best place to go, plus there are some amazing breaks there e.g. Kirra, Burleigh Heads and Superbank.

Gold Coast would be your best bet. There are great schools on offer and the surf culture is amazing. Everything about the place revolves around surfing.

As mentioned earlier, Kirra, Snapper, Burleigh etc are all world class breaks but you also have places like Byron Bay etc a short drive away. There are endless waves.

surfing in florida is awesome

been reading through all the forums and I am amazed that more people don't make it to the central florida coast for it's perfect year round surf and friendly atmosphere. I've lived here all my life and most people are spoiled when it comes to suring so they consider a 2 foot perfect right or left a "FLAT" day.

come on folks, enjoy it everyday...it's there for the taking!!!!!
