Surfing Waves

I was wondering what are the major surfing events coming up in the next few months. boubout till the end of july. Not knowing much bout the sport and visiting australia in the few months i would like to get some info on major events. Any must see's? Much thanks for your Help. ohh.....preferably events located in or near major citys. thanks

The Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach is held every easter. Torquay is the nearest place but you can easily travel from Melbourne. Definately a must see.
