Whenever I finish surfing, I bring a gallon container of water in the car. When I get to the car I drink the water if im thirsty but I also pour it on my legs to get the sand off. In a way im sort of informing people of a good way that they can wash off the sand easily and not get any in the car. The showers are okay but when I walk from the showers to the car I still seem to have sand on myself. Im wondering if anyone does this or knows of any better method. Thanks.

I just like my car really clean. I dont know anyone who would want to bring sand home. Sand is everywhere here in Hawaii.

some people don't live on a big rock of sand, so we bring it home. I allways pile a bunch on the back bumper of our car when I leave and have it fall off in teh driveway. Sandy shoes are cool too, but not in your runing shoes... too much like the running on the beach barefoot experience.

Are you guys saying that you dont surf often enough to hate sand? I usually go about once a week. I went three times this week. In a way that makes me feel lucky but sad for the rest.

well... actually i'm not really surfing often cuz where i live the beach is not really close to my house... so if u don't want your car to get dirty. so maybe u can ask ur friend to get u to the beach that way u r not going to worry about what is going to happen to his car... well good idea but not really... i just wanted to say " ENJOY THE SEND"....

Sand is great...when it's not on you. Lol, you have to be way more careful too when it's someone elses car and not yours. I use the showers provided, and I take my merry sweet time getting it all off too! I have to use a CRAPLOAD of water to get it all off, so the jug of water thing wouldnt work for me. The only thing about the shower is the water sprays out retardedly and it hurts when it's on bare skin, lol. What about those little towelette things? Would they work for your sandy problems? Or a spray bottle(s) of water?

I dont think spray bottles will work and towellets would be hard and expensive. At waikiki, there are waterfalls and sometimes I just hop in the waterfall pool and it all comes off hehe. But I still need the jug to get it all off.
