Surfing Waves

Have any of you been there? Is it only for the really experienced?

Lombok is not only for experienced surfer.
South Lombok is very nice. My favorite spot is Grupuk (Offshore).

the povety is a little grim, don't know what its like now - i was there shortly before the bomb in bali. The gilli iles are a nice place to chill out when you need a break
