Stuck in Rote for don't know how long, by volcano ash cloud stopping all flights!
I hope it is not a disaster for the people nearby, I however am stuck at the break with great surf until further notice . :D

I'm just hoping that flights out of Brisbane don't get cancelled because my mother-in-law is supposed to be leaving tomorrow... :!:

The good news is it is an uninhibited island off the coast of Sumbawa the ash cloud was 15 kilometres high and spread from Bali to Darwin.
The island is halfway back to Bali from West Timor / Rote so nothing I can photograph. Just dust on the tables!

Surf wise not quite as good as last year, but surf every day.
Won't be any Jaffa shots this time as the friendly photographer is elsewhere!
Will have some stuff though. I'll do that when I get home.
Cheers all good surfing to you!

Likely explanation to Mrs. Jaffa for why you didn't return home on time!

Poor poor Jaffa, lets all club together to get him back home as quickly as possible, he must be terribly homesick.

My wife thanks you for your concern but Jaffa prevails a dis now out of the surf zone and one sleep from the flight home.
Unless the volcano goes off again tonight al tidak apa apa all good no worries!

There was nobody was doing ego shots so no photos of Jaffa glories
Last day was a magnificent surf double head high and I surfed really well!
You know those double arm appreciation guys give a great ride , well I got one from the full crew after riding the full 300 metres of the wave on a blazing high line.
Might not be able to prove it , but is one of those wave you etch into your memory banks :woot:
