In a couple of months time, I'll be moving back to Cambridge. Nearest airport would be Luton or Stansted. Which European countries would be ideal for short weekend trips? Bear in mind that I'm only a beginner and biggest I've surfed is just around 6-7 feet.

Easyjet flies to Agadir. Taghazout is a popular place.

It is too cold for me! I tried it once during the summer when it was around 18C. Turned purple even from wearing the wetsuit. Plus it's more expensive to fly to Newquay compared to Europe! lol

A little while in Cambridge and you'll soon be frolicking in the frigid winter waters of Cromer

The longest I've gone without surfing since I started is 6 days. I'm not sure how I'm able to cope if I can only surf once a month. Or maybe I will just find something else to do. Like learn snowboarding...... Or maybe get the first flight out the bloody country!

I think your options are move to somewhere better for surfing nice warm water or get yourself a reliable VW Transporter, chuck a bed in the back and a rack on the roof and spend your Friday nights and Sunday afternoons driving 4-5 hours to the Cornish coast and back.

Probably have to go Sept. Looks flat there at the moment plus the flights are not cheap due to summer season starting soon! Might go to South of France and take a look. Flights are really cheap there.

Dude, no surf in the South of France! Marseille, Nice, St.Tropez etc?
Unless you mean South-West France, Biarritz etc?

They said Hossegor and also San Sebastian is close by too. I looked at the online webcam and seems like S. Seb has got some waves.

Agadir is only 4 hours from the UK. Tickets can be purchased for as little as £40 return if you book 1 month in advance. Ryan Air is the service I use frequently. Tagazhout is only 30 minutes from Agadir.
A couple of websites for you to look at.
