Extreme Spots Locations in S. California and a video

Hi all,

I live in the S. Fernando Valley and I like to shoot videos in my spare time. It's just a hobby, I don't do this professionally:

Can anyone local tell me where are the best spots for advanced to extreme surfing in my area?
Don't mind travelling 2 to 3 hours if there isn't anything local.

Thank you.

Very nice. You may find some interesting footage at The Wedge located at the east end of the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach. There is a large rock jetty that provides a lot of excitement for boogey boarders. Go on a big surf / stormy day. It can be a riot.

Hi Billie,

thank you. Wow that's a great tip! I will probably go and check out your suggestion this weekend. It sounds like a real gem, when conditions are right.

Thank you,

M.

Hey that's where I'm from! I grew up in Granada hills but I'm stationed in Hawaii now!

Hi Arturo, nice "forumeeting" you. Granada Hills is not that far from where I live. I believe the 170 and 118 would take me there. Did you have any favorite surfing spots here before being stationed to Hawaii?

Thanks Arturo. That's very nice. I found a chart depicting the different surfing spots in that area and I am attaching it to this post.
