hello,
i am planning a trip to southamerica (preferred north brazil, argentinia, peru ?) this september/october and want to do surf lessons for 1-2 weeks for absolute beginners. my problem is that i have absolutely no idea where are good spots for beginners at that time. so maybe someone can help me:
.) which countries and spots in southamerica are recommended for beginners and also worth to see in terms of nightlife/nice beaches, etc.?
.) maybe someone can recommend me a specific surfcamp for beginners?
.) which countries and places have good weather in september/october
thanks for your help!

Surf simply!!! They are in Costa Rica...check their vids on youtube and check their website. If i could go, i would head there!! you can email them directly from their website for info on local conditions for the months you are thinking of travelling. It is an all inclusive resort, which means you just rock up and are able to focus purely on your surfing...they have a good methodical approach to teaching. Check it out!

WOW!

That is rather steep. Didn't realise it, it's been years since i lost check their website out. Having said that, check out their whiteboard Wednesday videos on YouTube. There is some good advice for beginners there. May help in your development.

Can you specify if you mean SOUTH America or CENTRAL America for starters, as it is a very large bit of our beautiful world. Almost every single country in BOTH regions has waves, so you have to be a bit more specific, as I am not going to write an essay on every single country in that region.
Where to you actually want to go? Narrow it down, then I will answer.

hi,
you are right i was not very specific, but in fact i haven't booked anything yet, so I am very flexible. So I was thinking about countries like Brazil, Peru, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, etc. I think the weather is better in the northern countries in september/october ?
In the meanwhile I was reading good things about Pipa (for example
http://www.surfpipa.com/surfschool_cour ... g=eng&id=9)
Any experiences with that place?
thanks!

Hi
From May to November we usually get good waves for beginners in the Dominican republic in the waist to head high range. Lots of night life within a short walk and plenty of other activities to do.
Our learn to surf packages start at around 900 USD for 1 week.
More info on http://www.swellsurfcamp.com or send me a PM.
Have fun wherever you end up going.
