Not gong to vote at all...

It would be better to hav an additinal option as being 'overrated' Which it is!

Just cause its more consistant than other areas everyone thinks it amazing. Sure its got some good spots that produce nice waves. If everywhere was as consistant as cornwall then it would proberly be a fair way down the list in UK terms.

I come from Woolacombe area hence the name... Surfed all over the southwest, north and west coast

Done some in Scotland, not ventured to east coast yet.. done south wales but its north wales that i'v explored the most. There are so many spots that under the right condidions produce some of the most amazing waves i've seen. Its just so unfortunate that ireland is in the way all the time! less consistant.

I'm not saying cornwal has bad surf cause it doesn't.. it gets loads of swell. I jsut feel many of its breaks are overrated.

Im hearing you there , ive heard of plenty of people about scotland and even ireland and many other breaks other than cornwall , i think like you said its just the consistency of the place (aloutgh i beg to differ over the last few of weekends ) also the warm waters compared to every where else in england and the popular with tourists who all go to the surf schools here and rave on about how its the best place ever and wear i luv kernow tshirts and baseball caps ,and then go get a bumber sticker with the flag on it and then the final insult to all the cornish out there buy up houses and only live in them 2 months a year and maby even rent them out to people for holiday lets therefore pushing up the price of houses here and a cheap affordable house is no longer possible  anyway went a little of tangent there but hey the surfs still better than back in Manchester (NEAREST BEACH BEING BLACKPOOL )

ive liked the time ive spent in cornwall however i cant really get there less often than id like but its always been a bit too crowded for me. i like the east coast better very nearly as consistant n less crowds n good breaks!

overrated ????

never it has such a varity of breaks from point breaks to beach breaks reefs its probably one of the most consistent places in the uk and at this time of year the south cost can work as well so theres nearly allways some were you can score i decent cleanish wave plus the waters also pretty warm

i wouldnt say it was overated at all

Please re-read my post as to why I feel its overrated.... You seem to have missed the point. Its only like that cause of its consistancy... If other areas of the UK had the same consistancy that the SW & Cornwal gets cornwal would be just another place to surf with a few amazing breaks.

No the breaks that are there.... are overrated. You can find the same if not better setups, esp reefs elsewhere in the UK.If you go looking ;)

Anyway I'm done trying to put my view accross, I'm not saying your wrong just that how I feel.

i have had enough of your view anyway
you may think it is just another place to surf but a lot of people will disagree with you and say it has amazin surf even if it don't show it on the poll question because i know a lot of cornish surfers

thks for your view anyway
