surf school for beginners near east coast USA?

Hi some girlfriends and I have just started surfing in Maryland and want to take a surf vacation/surf school. The catch is we live on the east coast of USA and can really only get away for about 4 days as we all have young kids. So we can't waste too much time traveling. Are there any surf schools in FL? Or perhaps on the far east part of Mexico that have good reputations?
thanks
gail

Are you open to Puerto Rico? If you can get down to Florida you can get a dirt cheap flight to Aquadilla on Spirit and have nearly 4 full days of surfing (flights are usually late night/ overnight). I haven't done a camp there but I had a lot of contact with someone who rents rooms and does lessons there. I didn't end up staying with him as I got a hook-up from a friend for accoms but if I hadn't, I would've stayed here and got lessons for my sister (who is a beginner) from him.

Also, not sure when you want to go but be aware that winter is "big wave" season in PR.
