Hi all!
I'm looking for a nice place to surf in the winter months, I've read some topics already and it looks like Morocco is the right place if you live in Europe (I live in Moscow), not extra expensive and with good waves. I have some experience (on Tenerife), and I think that the conditions should be almost similar there?
Maybe someone can advice some spots, where to go and so on? btw whats the average air temp. in Morocco in winter? And maybe there are another places, also good and not far from Europe..
thanx in advance!

Hello!
Yes you are right Morocco surfing at winter is the best time to go, if you are a beginner there are beach breaks, if you are experienced theres anchor point, boilers and more. I made good friends with the people at surf star morocco, recommend their surf camp highly! they have russian guests sometimes too, they do surf holidays for all levels too. the riad is great, nice couscous, and surf instructors are great! Momo is very experienced and fun!!! not sure about the temperatures exactly but you usually need to wear a thin wetsuit. if you have any questions about it feel free to ask, have fun!!

Jumping in here as have the same question!! What about the canary islansds? I have been to morocco so wouldnt mind trying somewhere new too- looking for a good surf camp for 1 week at christmas. I just did 2 weeks in. Bali so just starting on the green waves, but still beginner obviously! For moroccco, i stayed at dynamic loisirs in tamaraght - great place - they could,t do enough for you and the food was amazing! It's not in the town, but we never wanted to leave it was so chilled out there and they brought us to agadir to get alcohol too, so just partyied in the house on lovely roof terrace!!!

I have been down to the Agadir area in January and it was pretty sweet.

The swells were kind of hit and miss but I did manage to get a couple of good sessions in.

I just came across this new(er) website called and they seem to have a couple of places in Morocco for pretty cheap. (They also have some Canary Islands stuff for Luney!) Check them out. At the very least you will get a good idea of what is around there. Have fun!

We'd like to hear from those who have experience of visiting, but are not here just to promote their surf camp / holiday etc.
Thanks
