Looking for a very cool surfcamp

Hi all,

I have a plan to spend from 2 - 4 weeks on a surfcamp anywhere in the world. I'm pretty much a beginner, but I wanna give this some time and get good at it if I can. I'm a student, so I can't go just go anytime, my two options are the 2 or 3 weeks around christmas and new years, or in the summer break, beginning of june to end august.

So, now I'm looking for the perfect surfcamp, I've been trying to find places in Indonesia or Nicaragua, and I did find this place that seem perfect (http://www.surfcampindonesia.com/), only thing is they're closed at those times when I can go.. Which is a bummer, because it seemed so perfect! Super cheap (4 weeks for 1350€ including food, lodging and lessons), seemed to be run by cool people, and they do charity work in the village where it's located.

Do you have any suggestions for hidden gem like that? Anywhere on earth, where the waves are good in summer or winter?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

/Wolfie

Hey all, was just scanning through the forum and saw ur post! I just got back from Bali and went surfing with an awesome camp they were very professional got me amazing waves! knew all the un-crowded spots and all at about half the price of one of the big camps I stayed with last year who really dissapointed me :/
They were honest and got me the best deals unlike some of the expensive western run camps who earn western salaries they are an Indonesian and Western husband and wife who live to surf and they charge a local price too. Groups were kept to a minimum, I in fact had one to one attention so I was pretty happy and they were always giving me tips out in the water. But anyway I will stop blabbering on! I couldn't recommend them anymore really great experience. www.balisurfingguideindo.webs.com is their site n I think they do girls specific trips also they have a page on fb called "girls surf trips bali" Cheers
