Professional surfers. . . . Help??????

I am a girlfriend looking to do something special for my boyfriend. He loves to surf and I was thinking of going someplace really cool so he can surf or someplace to see surfing. Something. I live in California and would like go somewhere in CA or in Mexcio. Can anyone help me? Or if you have any ideas, I would grealty appreciate it. I do not know much but it is important to him.

Coast Rica i heard was good... umm... a trip to mexico along the pacific side, anywhere down there should be good.

maybe you guys should pack up the truck and go camping down the coast of mexico for a few days, you can usually find surf, baja malibu, la fonda, or k 38, calafia can be good too! and those are like the first spots, you can go forever down there and its pretty cheap!
