Honeymoon destinations

Hoping someone on here can help!

Looking for advice on honeymoon location next August with an element of surf.

Have only been surfing for about 6 months, although usually manage to get out 3 times a week, hence need a destination that is ok for beginners.

Can pretty much go anywhere but based in Australia. Also need somewhere that is not just surf-focussed as other half is non-surfer - perhaps a diving or sailing element.

Was thinking French Polynesia or maybe Hawaii but worried that there is not much for a beginner in these places....?

Had any thoughs bout this yet?, mad post, almost identical to one I just wrote. We're going on honeymoon next Aug. Thinking at the moment of Ecuador and Galapagos islands. Plenty of snorkeling and diving there for your wife to be(Misses!). Loads a cool wildlife. Surf? trying to find that out now. Certainly some there, but at that time of year, i've yet to find out.
