surfing England and wales

hey guys, I'm from Australia and am goin to wales and England in 2 weeks to visit family, I can't resist taking my gear. can you guys please recommend some spots in Cornwall/west wales and the right conditions (swell hight, wind direction, swell direction and etc) I would greatly appreciate it

Yes mate, its about 2 hours drive for me so I only go there when Ive got plenty of time on my hands.

My local spot is Rest bay and Coney beach at Porthcawl. They are pretty good spots too.

Newquay is the hub of surfing for the UK - big party town in the summer but gets the best conditions in sept and october. Fistral Beach in Newquay is well known as is Crantock around the corner. There are tons of spots in Cornwall - but good to use Newquay as a base and explore from there. Sennen in west cornwall is awesome as is Penhale.

Newquay is normally packed with surfers, so if you base yourself there be prepared to head out.
