Epic surf in Encuentro, D.R.

The last three days Hurricane Katia send some nice swells to the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Especially Playa Encuentro, the most consistent surf spot of the Dominican Republic was firing. No wind, 5-8ft, super clean walls of 300m+ and some barrels made those last three days absolutely epic. On the first two days the swell came in from a easterly direction and produced the best waves on the right-hander "La Derecha". With the storm passing by on the third day also "La Izquierda" the left hander came to life and with the swell changing to a northerly direction waves became faster and more hollow but a bit smaller.
I attached some of the best shots from the last days!
There is already the next storm lined up and we are looking forward to some nice swell in the coming weeks.
