Hey guys,

I am planning on heading out for some surfing for two weeks in November. I'm a beginner/intermediate short boarder. So far I have been looking at El Salvador, Ecuador/Columbia or maybe Sri Lanka. Any recommendations of places I should check out, or if anyone has feedback on those places I listed.
Thanks

It's all true, West and southwest coast of Sri Lanka works November to April the rest of the year the east Coast does it.
Your other spots don't know more than I google :D

well, colombia doesn't have much surf at all, ecuador has waves, so does el salvador, they're tropical places, so it'll be hot, here in lima i can assure surf everyday and many options to surf nearby but it'll be spring then, nice weather but will need a wetsuit to surf, 3'2 enough, no booties, be glad to answer anyquestions...

Hi alltrue,

How about the Dominican Republic. The winter ime is the surfseason here and that's when spots get consitent here. The most consitent spot is Playa Encuentro next to the nice town of Cabarete. Even in winter it's still warm enough to surf just in boardshorts. It's good for all levels of surfers as the waves do not get to big and the are some peaks spread out which make the swell beak in different sizes. Apart from surfing Cabarete has also a lot to offer such as a decent assortment of nice restaurants, a little bit of nightlife, beautiful beaches, waterfalls etc.

I'm running a small boutique hotel right at Playa Encuentro, so the surf is right on the doorstep and we have a nice garden where you can relax and sunbath. If you are interested just have a look at our website www.hookedcabarete.com. We mainly do get other surfers and kitesurfers, so it's easy to meet nice people here if you like.

If you have any further questions, regardless wether you want to staywith us or not, just let me know.

Aloha
Nino

Morocco is a great place to go around that time. Ive been the last two years in middle Nov and had good swell. Very chilled and great right points, also some good beach breaks for intermediate and beginner surfing.

mysurfingworld - your linkdrop has failed, it goes to a 404 page.
You could always post some helpful information straight to this page though

Cheers
