Freakin out

Postby rockwhere » Mon Sep 13, 2004 1:31 pm

Just wondering about my situation:

Im going to spain after a loooooong time without surf. 5 months seems like an eternity when living in Germany. I organised to borrow a board from a friend now living in Barcelona (cheap fly in, drive nw). however, I find out he snapped it in half at Mundaca...only on a 3-4 foot wave too...

I didn´t bring my board from home beacause I didn´t plan on staying for so long, plus, I didn´t want to take my baby on the 25 hour flight! Now Im really anxious and I regret not bringing my board.

Whats it gonna cost me to hire a 6'2 -6'4 for say a week (ie, can I bargain)? Whats the possibility of buying a second hand board?

Las question, Can anyone hook me up a sound board? (not a new board of course) for 7 days surfing for say 50 Euros?

C´mon, I have only a few day left to sort it out.

Chris.

damn man, that sucks... The best of luck to you finding a used one this soon... check papers. otherwise i would go for a new board, and get the next size board your were looking for.

Also i dont think people hire boards toy ou... idk though.

maybe consider getting a new one and selling it off when your trip is over? put ads to sell it right away and by the time your trip is over you will be able to sell it.

Yeah, thats what Im thinking. its a cunning thing to do on a surfers budget, but buying a board for only a week or two? on the other hand, if the waves are pumping...what is nicer than a new board in primo conditions?

I didn´t really expect to hire a board privately, just a desperate thought.

thanks for the tips and information guys.
