Hey, im off surfing for 6 weeks in the summer, in portugal, and i need a board. I have surfed only twice so am wondering what kind of borad will best suit me to learn on!

It is easiest to learn a big longboard. I would say a 10' longboard. When I give surfing lessons the people on the 10' boards do the best. A smaller long board will still work, but it will be harder to learn on because it is not as stable and floaty as a bigger board. Stability and flotation are key when you are learning! So look for width and thickness as well as length!

For summer waves in Europe a Long board would be the most fun!
