Hi,

Planning to go to France next year (March to Oct) to learn the language, and surf (of course). Was thinking about Hossegor or nearby but cannot find a cheap accommodation. Don't wanna go camping for so long and cannot afford any holidays appartments/resorts/etc... Any advice how to find a decent place?

for traveling try a travel agency or even online. expedia usually has some great prices and lets you look at the future months for prices. they also help you plan a hotel and a lot of other stuff in with the whole price. just look around and see what you can find.

You are right to check out southwestern france for amazing surfing. I would recommend the town of Biarritz or a town north of that called Anglet (its smaller and less ritzy that Biarritz). If you are going to be there in march its generally off season and you could probably call some hostels or the town tourism office for info on a cheap appartment to share with people. I just went there for a vacation because i was in school in Paris, but Im planning on living there after i finish school.

Bonne chance with the french and hope you find a place there.
