surfing mexico in june/july

I was planning to visit mexicos pacific coast this summer (mid june until mid july). I'm not a very experienced surfer. I've only surfed for a couple of weeks last January in Playa Jaco, Costa Rica. So I have a couple of questions to you guys who've been to mexico for surfing...
Is it suitable for beginners like me and can you recommend some places to surf for beginners?
How's the weather? Ive heard its very hot and humid and that it rains alot...therefore the water also gets quite polluted.. not very pleasent for a beginner like me who will be forced to drink plenty of water
And since I was also planning to go see some cities maybe I could plan my surfing weeks when its best.. so should i go surf in june or in july? unfortunately thats the only time I can travel..
