Surfing in France

Postby Killy » Tue Jan 04, 2011 10:23 am

Hi eveyrone,

My boyfriend is a fan of surfing and we are going to Biarritz, in south of France in July!! i hope the weather will be great and that they will have a lot of waves!!:)
we are going there with some friends who are really keen on surfing, thank god, i'll go shopping and visiting with the girls!! :)

we were wondering what will be best for us, we are staying there for a week, what is best, a flat or a hotel?
my friend found that: http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/biarri ... ind.squery and http://hotel.twenga.co.uk/france/biarritz.html

i really found that expensive, does anyone have a place cheaper to rent there??

thanks a lot!:)

happy new year!

Advice from a local: Best to not go between mid-July and mid-August, the beaches are overrun, the waves are small with twenty beginners trying to get each one, and flats/hotel prices quadruple during that period and are really expensive. Go in April/May/June or September/October.
