Between Polzeath and Padstow is a beach called Daymer Bay, with a sandbank in the mouth of the estuary called 'The Doom Bar'. I have never heard of a death bay!

The cliffs from Polzeath to Daymer are the Grenaway. The Doom Bar is just offshore.

Oops -sorry Papa... Still learning the ettiquete... I guess I understand the idea behind secret spots, and keeping some peace from the hoards, but I still feel all the secrecy is a bit elitist... Maybe thats a topic for a different thread....!

Think i'll roll another and ponder.... Peace!

Since seen on WannaSurf that 'Death Bay' does exist! We knew it as kids as the beach where you could find some cool shells and fish in the rock pools... You wouldn't catch me surfing there... Far too dangerous!

If you're looking for a bit of a mad ride in North Cornwall you want to try the harbour wall in Portreath. I swear it eats people!
Never heard of Death Bay though dude. Sorry

W've yet to find out who that was. Anyone know what will take hammertite marine paint off of granite?

Thankfully the views of that one person do not reflect the attitude of the entire Cornish surfing community. We're usually a nice bunch :)
