Surfing Waves

I would class myself as an early intermediate surfer so would like some descent sized waves, but nothing too brutal around july/august time.
I usually surf Cornwall in the summer but am getting fed up of surfing small waves with little or no power. I have been looking at Portugal but assume that in the summer months it is fairly similar to cornwall.
So does anyone have any suggestions for a good spot, can be anywhere in the world, preferably somewhere warm and not too hostile

i would recomended coming here, but it's winter now, and july-august is when we get bigger swells, summer time is much nicer but with smaller waves, still we got surf all year round, so if waves is what you're looking for, you can't go wrong here, i assure everyday surf and many options nearby, for sure a place anysurfer should have in mind for a surftrip sometime in their life. check us out on facebook too.
