surfing at cromer please help

Depending on what the surf will be like tomorrow at cromer could anybody please give me a bit of advice on any dangers to look out for as i have only been surfing for a few months and never realy surfed at cromer befor.

I grew up around Cromer, Norfolk if that is where you are referring to. The only things you need to look out for are the breakwaters along the beach (I lost a board to one a good few years ago) and the rips on bigger days - too strong to paddle against and will take you under the pier if you are on the wrong side.

On another note a few years back when I bought a copy of the Stormrider Guide to Europe (great book - everyone should buy it) and Cromer had the worst review ever - someone had obviously had a really bad experience there.

Cromer was the break I surfed all the time - a 2 min walk from my flat - but most of the people went to East Runton just down the coast.
