Surfing Waves

Going to California for the first 2 weeks of October but not sure where to go?? Want beach breaks as still fairly new to surfing and moving from white water to unbroken waves

South San Diego way or North Santa Barbara - Redondo Beach area or some where in the middle??

Any advice would be great.

suggest researching; Laguna Beach, Doheny State beach, Del Mar Shores, Scripps Pier.

well south san diego is a good bet. You will get waves and there are lots of choices to surf there.
