new to surfing in newcastle

Hi people. well ive always liked the idea of surfing and now i want to turn it into more than idea. havent got the first clue about how to go on but i am determined to get out ther on the water. im from newcastle and wud really like to get to know some people from around my area to show me the ropes. non of my friends are into surfing so would like to get know some people who are.

any advice welcome

why don't you take a class in a surf school. It would be best to have a qualified life guard actually taking you into the surf zone. that way you'd have the confidence to have fun knowing that you won't get into real trouble. They'll also teach you about basic surf safety. Things like rips and the basiuc mechanics of swells, waves and surfing. And it would be a good way to meet other beginers for future sessions.

try the folks at the top of the cliff at tynemouth,,,they seem nice enough
