Learning to surf - Wales

Hi all!!

I'm a complete newbie to this surfing game, but after being down at Boardmasters for the 2nd time last week I really need to learn. Me and a few mates are going camping in Sept and were basing our camping around where we can teach ourselves to surf.

We were thinking somewhere in Wales, but we'll need somewhere we can hire a board and suit because none of us have our own gear yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I live in the midlands, about 30 mins west of Birmingham in Kidderminster.

Cheers all :)

Hi Dunk...

Not sure if you're still interested in surfing, but if you are I go quite a lot with a few mates. I've also recently set up an extreme sports club in the West Midlands for people to share lifts/organise trips together so if you're up for it get in touch - www.extremesportscentral.co.uk - see you there!

Cheers
Rachel

couple of months late but llangenniths probably your best bet for hiring and learning, porthcawls another place where you can hire equipment but the scenery isn't as good and then down west. if you're going up north then best ask someone else.
