I am traveling solo for most of the 3 week trip, but I would love if someone could give me a few cool hostels to stay at. I bought a book for Bali, but in my past travels I found the better places to stay are from fellow backpackers.

I am looking to party for a few days... and than surf as much as I can...if the swell is right.

Any cool mellow, good vibe, bohemian style hostels or bunglow places to stay....decent priced....

Any good surf spots....I will hook you up if you ever come my way... I live on the north shore.

Thanks and Aloha

I leave on Monday, so if your there, let me know and will hook and have a few drinks.

Hey,

I spent 2 months out there a while ago. For a cool hotel, cheap, clean nice pool, nice setting the there is a road of Poppies I called Gang Sorga. The hotel is called Hotel Sorga and is at the bottom of this round around a right hand bend and on the left, set back from teh road. You are 2 mins away from the beach (in front of McDonalds) and nightlife if you want. Youve also got easy access to roards out of Kuta to Seminyak and Ulu's. Hotel is a little gem.

Id go to Canguu on a morning as the wind wont have picked up and you should get some good off shore conditions. Its easy to find if you know so get a map and hire a motor bike...about 20- 30 mins max! There is a beautiful at the end of a road and then the beach. Will be a few out but not always crowded. Id then head to Dreamland (near Ulu's) for a pm surf where you should get off shore conditions. Its a beatuiful beach and you can go along to Balangan, Bingin and Ulu's further around the corner. Takes about 30 mins again but is a little tricky to navigate first time. Dreamland beach is through an old complex with security on the front. They will try and charge you but you dont have to pay (this may have changed) Its s long wide road with major potholes although Id heard this was again being re-developed and the golf course is now built. Leave you bikes at the top of the hill and pay someone 15000 rupiah to watch for the day (£1) This aint always necesasary.

Im jealous dude! :D
