Surf spots in Bali for advanced beginners

Postby desmond » Sat Jul 04, 2009 1:40 am

Hi I am new to this forum (or newly registered to be precise), have been watching all the threads for quite some time.

I know there are a lot of Bali experts out here, and I am not trying to ask for yr secret spots. The fact is, my friend and I have been surfing around 2 times a week for around 1-2 years, basically all beach breaks. We are confident in the basics and turning etc. We would like to go to Bali for a 1-week trip in late July.

While we would like to surf something better than Kuta beach, we know that Kuta reef and some other world-class reef breaks may be too much for us. I just would like to know if there is any spots in yr mind that would be suitable for us? The fact is, we don't mind sacrifying night life and travelling a bit for suitbale breaks. I have Medewi in mind for now. Pls feel free to suggest

Oh mate, too many spots in Bali to surf at. Try Dreamland, Uluwatu, Canggu, Padang Bay, and many more. Once you get there, you can ask other surfers too. They normally don't mind sharing good spots. Good luck.
Cheers!
