Anyone had trouble taking boards with Jetstar?

Postby cesbass » Thu Jul 02, 2009 9:40 am

Hey there

I am heading to Indo for the first time soon and am flying in to Bali with Jetstar I found in their small print that max check on baggage is 1.9m. I am wondering if anyone has gotten away with taking boards slightly larger. Or had trouble and been refused, I am hoping i can take my 6'8 semi gun and travel bag.

Cheers

I recently used jetstar to fly from bali to sydney, I had my 7'0 bag with me and they didn't say a word when I checked it in.

I've not used them, but Ive heard stories both ways - people getting on with mini-mals with no problem, and people having to leave their 6'6 behind

Seems to me its luck of the draw - how crowded the plane is, and which officious jobsworth you have to deal with at the check-in desk.

Best give 'em a call first.

I thought Jetstar only allow 1 carry on luggage, a backpack...

I remember a friend had been a cheapskat, be bought on a HUGE backpack... and everyone was laughing when they heard about it...
