Ger -> FRA: Cologne to Nantes with Board

once more Im struggling with how to best get me and my board to my next spot. Anyone got a an idea how to get from cologne/köln to nantes?
Flights dont go non stop and the cheap airlines wont take my surfboard. The train in france appears to be a problem since they give a max surfboard size of 1,2m (wtf) same problem for the coaches I found.
Any of you got a nice tip? Or maybe someone of you is headin that direction anyway and would be happy to get some fuel-bugs
Itd be roughly frm 3.8 - 16.8.
