hey!

so I'm planing a surftrip through europe this summer.

have a car.....its not really a bus, but its like a family van.........

i have a 7' boardbag........ the world traveller from dakine that fits four boards. so my question is...... do you guys think its ok to just strap the boardbag on the car (of course on hard racks) ???

i though that would be smartest way. but someone told me that it would not work because the board bag would lift off because of the wind and it's not safe enough.

I'm gonna drive through france, spain and portugal so I'm gonna drive a lot on highways so i want it to be safe.

hope someone can help me out.
what do you guys think??

peace

I don't understand why the person say that they'll "lift off". If they're strapped down they wont! They'll be fine. Just don't uses bungee cords, thats when then they'll lift off!!

Cam Lock Straps - one front, one back, two spares in case.

Cheap, very strong and eassssy to use with no knots required !

Uh your putting boards I the bag ay?

Board(s) + bag + tie downs + hard roof rack = the win.

You'll have to ask your insurance if they cover the boards from damage or theft.

And theft I guess could happen... You can get secure tie downs and other types of locks.
