is there anyway you lot can think of that i can surf fracne cheaply without the use of a car?

Fly to Birritz Airport... Bus to Anglet and camp near the beaches. Then you have a nice selection of breaks/groyns from the cliffs to the river all in walking distance and still near shops/pubs/town.

Or bus to Capretonn/Hossogor and do the same (tho there arn't many campsites in/near town

would i be able to do that with my board in tow? and how crazely crowded will that area be in the summer?

All of Biscay is crowded in summer, your not going to escape that!

I didn;t have any probs on the bus a few years back with a board.

Avoid July and August which are insane, the population in Biarritz swells from 30,000 to 250,000.

Go in September (best time of the year for waves too).
